We serve homebuyers and sellers throughout the Metro Area (Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC).  Although architectural details, wall and floor coverings, modern conveniences and many other factors are important in the buying decision, the focus of a home inspection is, and should be, on the structural, mechanical and electrical condition of the property.

 

In our experience, there are three areas of the house that a homeowner rarely goes; the roof, the attic and the crawl space.  WE ALWAYS GO THERE In addition, we provide a short video of the roof, the attic, the crawl space and the foundation to the homeowner at no additional cost. 



We can also provide environmental testing for lead contamination, water quality and we can test for such indoor air quality issues as radon and toxic mold.

 

We strongly encourage all of our clients to accompany us during the inspection. Prospective homeowners should feel free to ask our inspector any questions they may have during the inspection process. The inspector will point out problems and explain them. The inspector will also highlight the good points of the house as well. Plus, A Closer Look will explain what routine maintenance is needed to keep the house in top condition. This will help our clients to get the most benefit from the inspection and gain the most understanding of the systems that make up their new home, and how to maintain them.

 

A Closer Look will provide a comprehensive report that is easy to understand by the close of business on the day of the inspection. Everything identified during the inspection will be included in the report.
